Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company that makes Viagra, said its research on the anti-impotence drug was based on the results of a study in France, which looked at a group of men who were also taking Viagra. They found that men who took the drug for an extended period, which lasted for five years, were less likely to have erectile dysfunction than those who took a placebo.
